About Us
Orange Family Support Service assists parents, grandparents, carers, single and blended families who have dependent children in their care. Referral can be made from outside agencies or self referral. The Service aims to provide preventative services, with a focus on strengthening and supporting families and building on family members’ existing skills. We have a strong history of networking with other agencies to provide the best coverage of existing services for our clients.
We value diversity. Our service is open to all families with children in their care. People who use our service include women, men, Aboriginal families and people from other cultures or backgrounds.

The Management Committee
OFSS is overseen by a Management Committee. The members of the Management Committee are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Tania Martin
Manager
Tania commenced as Manager of Orange Family Support Service in March 2021. Tania has many years of experience working in the community and has managed numerous welfare programs in particular within the drug and alcohol field. Tania has a Bachelor of Social Science (Social Welfare) and a range of welfare qualifications and brings years of experience.
Kristen Brooking
Family Case Worker
Kristen has many years experience working with children in Preschools and Day-Care centres. Kristen enjoys helping children and families grow and learn through positive experiences and empowering parents to nurture their children’s learning. Kristen coordinates the Supported Playgroup which encourages parents to interact and become involved in their children’s learning experiences. Kristen also facilitates the 1-2-3 Magic Parenting Program, which is a gentle but firm behaviour management program to assist parents in managing difficult behaviours in a positive way. Kristen also provides home visiting services where she supports and assists families in parenting their children.
Sue Brown
Family Case Worker
Sue’s role includes providing family support, running parenting programs, working with children of separated families with a grief and loss program and providing information and advocacy for our families.
Sue is trained to facilitate the following programs: Keeping Children Safe, 1-2-3 Magic and Rainbows. Sue has a Diploma in Community Services and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and is a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and a Consultant for the Institute of Family Practice, training professionals, to facilitate the “Keeping Children Safe” parenting program.
Maree Vaughan
Family Case Worker
Maree joined our Service in May 2018. With many years of experience working in the early childhood industry, Maree brings knowledge and practical skills to her role as a Family Case Worker.
Maree has a passion for children’s learning and development and enjoys being part of her client families’ journey as they learn new skills at our parenting programs and watching the children learn and grow at our weekly playgroup, which she co-facilitates with Kristen.
As a Family Case Worker, Maree combines her Diploma in Children’s Services and Certificate IV in Community Services to ensure she delivers a high standard of support and guidance to help build and strengthen families in our community.
